TYPICAL JOURNEY OF AN EMBARKING PASSENGER

This video aims to show the typical journey of an embarking passenger through the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal to their cruise ship.

If you have assistance needs or questions regarding your cruise or check-in procedures, please contact your cruise line prior to arrival.

Please be advised that some information may change, subject to specific operational requirements. This video is intended as a guide only.

There are three car parks with paid car parking, as well as a 2-minute passenger pick up and set down area.

All have accessible parking bays.

The taxi rank is approximately 120 metres from the building entrance and has accessible bays.

If travelling by rideshare, the rideshare zone is 120 metres from the building entrance.

If you require use of the accessible parking bay, your driver can drop you off in the 2-minute passenger pick up and set down area.

Passengers arrive into the Plaza Area.

And may take luggage to the Baggage Drop.

Passengers then make their way to the main concourse on the ground floor.

There is seating in the Concourse area, if required.

Passengers can proceed to the Check-in area on Level 1 via lift or travelator.

The travelator has a mezzanine level mid-way.

The Check-in Area has various seating options.

And check-in counters, including accessible counters which are located on the left side of the room.

Hearing loop is available in the left third of the check-in area, including the accessible check-in counters.

Once checked in, passengers will proceed through Security Screening.

If on an international cruise, passengers may be required to pass through Immigration.

This area is managed by Australian Border Force.

The Elevated Walkway provides safe access for passengers to and from the terminal building.

All passengers must travel the length of the walkway, which is a maximum distance of 270 metres and is approximately 3.5 metres wide.

There are hand rails and seated rest stops provided along the walkway, at each junction where it turns, approximately 60 metres, 120 metres, 180 metres, 240 metres and 270 metres from the terminal building.

To board the vessel, you will transit through the Passenger Boarding Bridge.

The distance through the bridge is approximately 55 metres.

The gradient of the bridge may vary, depending on the location of the cruise ship’s doors and the tide.

There are seats at the halfway point, if required.

The width throughout the bridge ranges from 1000 millimetres to 1800 millimetres.
