BIOSECURITY MANAGEMENT

BIOSECURITY MANAGEMENT

All Hirers of any of PBPL’s common user facilities wishing to facilitate international vessel arrivals must comply with the First Point of Entry provisions of the Biosecurity Act 2015 – please refer to Section 7.3 of the Berthing Advice and Bookings Form.  In order to assist Hirers to meet their obligations under the Biosecurity At, PBPL suggests the use of the following resources:

BIOSECURITY INCIDENT RESPONSE PLANS

In order to meet their obligations under the Biosecurity Act 2015, all Hirers of PBPL common user facilities must have in place a Biosecurity Incident Response Plan (BIRP) addressing their biosecurity management processes and controls specific to their operations at that site.  To assist Hirers to meet their obligations, PBPL have developed a template BIRP based on information provided by DAWR that can be used to develop site- and operation-specific BIRPs which can be downloaded here.

A Biosecurity Incident Response Kit has been provided at each of the common user facilities for Hirers to use in the event of a biosecurity incident.  Below are site plans of each of the facilities, showing the location of the incident response kits – these site plans are to be used in the development of the BIRP, with the relevant site plan to be attached as an appendix to the completed BIRP. Please see below the links to the site plans:
