Port of Brisbane was the first Australian port to introduce multibeam technology in 2004 and since this time our experienced team has delivered thousands of multibeam surveys.
The Hydrographic Solutions team operates three multibeam systems on three dedicated surveying vessels, specifically built to house and run the systems.
Multibeam data can be presented in a provided in a variety of formats, from simple 2D/3D digital datasets to sophisticated 3D mapping images with 3D fly through visualisations..
HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYING TECHNOLOGY
Hydrographic Solutions deploys state-of-the-art technology throughout its fleet, including:
- Multibeam Echosounders
- Positioning Systems
- Singlebeam Echosounders
- Laser Scanners
- GNSS Systems

- Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASV)
SURVEY SOFTWARE
PBPL’s Hydrographic Solutions team utilises the QPS QINSY/Qimera/Fledermaus Software suites to ensure the best quality hydrographic data is collected, processed and delivered to clients. This software suite also includes and integrates an effective 3D modelling system to help visualise the high accuracy multibeam/laser survey data captured.
Hydrographic Solutions also utilises Terramodel and Bentley Microstation software packages for its CAD production, 3DReshaper and Fledermaus software packages for its 3D modelling, and RiScan Pro for its Laser Scanning processing
